Michelle-Everett-Oxley
Michelle Everett-Oxley, the newly appointed CEO of BMS Family and Wellness Centers, brings over two decades of healthcare leadership and social work experience. Raised in Jamaica, Queens, she holds a BA in Psychology from Utica College of Syracuse University and a Master of Social Work from Hunter College, along with a Post-Graduate Certification in Healthcare Leadership from Baruch College. A community activist and fitness instructor, Michelle is passionate about empowering caregivers and ensuring quality healthcare for all. Her expertise earned her a presentation at the White House Office for the Aging Conference on Caregivers Rights after creating a Community Resource Guide for Brooklyn caregivers.
As the former Executive Director of Healthcare Services for CFH, Michelle oversaw 21 Federally Qualified Health Centers, delivering primary care, behavioral health, dental, and pediatric services across New York City. Under her leadership, CFH advanced health information technology and addressed social determinants of health, impacting thousands of unstably housed New Yorkers. Michelle is also actively involved in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the Elmont Memorial High School PTA, and the CHCANYS Workforce Committee. Her holistic approach to compassionate care is rooted in the principle “I am my brothers’/sisters’ keeper,” guiding her mission to lead BMS into the future.
