Sherly Demosthenes Atkinson

Sherly Demosthenes-Atkinson, appointed CEO of CABS Home Attendants Service, Inc. in 2017, has over 20 years of healthcare experience and holds a Master of Health Administration from Hofstra University. Prior to becoming CEO, she served as Executive Director and Associate Director of Case Management, which shaped her vision for streamlining CABS’ operations and enhancing the patient experience. Under her leadership, CABS secured a contract with the NYC Department of Housing Authority (NYCHA), contributed to the success of the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, and launched the CABS Care Management Agency to provide more integrated, patient-centered services.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sherly expanded CABS’ services across New York City and Long Island, rebranding the organization as the CABS Health Network. Her efforts were recognized by the Hofstra Master of Health Administration Alumni Association, and she was appointed to the Dean’s Advisory Board at Hofstra University’s School of Health Professions and Human Services in 2021. Committed to improving care for the elderly and disabled, Sherly’s mantra is, “Until aging in place is an option for all, the pursuit continues.
