Dr. Torian Easterling


Dr. Easterling is a family medicine and public health physician currently serving as the Senior Vice President for Population and Community Health and Chief Strategic and Innovation Officer at One Brooklyn Health. OBH, a three-hospital system in Central Brooklyn, is dedicated to preserving and enhancing healthcare delivery in the region. Prior to joining OBH, Dr. Easterling was the First Deputy Commissioner and Chief Equity Officer at the NYC Health Department, where he played a pivotal role in aligning the agency’s equity initiatives. He notably led the City’s equity response during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that vaccines were distributed to the hardest-hit communities.
Dr. Easterling holds a Bachelor of Science from Morehouse College, a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and a General Preventive Medicine residency at Mount Sinai. His extensive education and experience underscore his commitment to improving health outcomes and advancing equity in healthcare.
